If you employ 5 of more employees then you are required to carry out, record all information in writing and must maintain regular fire risk assessments. This is to help keep you and your staff safe, it will identify any potential fire risks and how you would deal with a situation where a fire has been present. If you feel that you cannot carry out this assessment yourself then contact Hart Safety to do this for you. We are experienced in fire risk assessments and know how to complete this to the health and safety standards.
Our job is to carry out a written fire risk assessment on site or at your office premises. Once the assessment has been carried out, this will normally identify any potential risks that may cause a fire incident and will highlight what our clients can do to adopt the correct procedures and behaviours. The detailed document will supply you with all the information on how to deal with these issues, how to prevent anything from happening and how to keep your employees safe.
Most fires are preventable.
Hart Safety are happy to make an assessment on a site or office premises to highlight what our clients can do to adopt the correct procedures and behaviours.
We do recommend that the fire risk assessment be kept up to date. It carries the same approach as the health and safety risk assessment so can be done at the same time, or separately should the client prefer.
Once the assessment has been carried out, and any risks are identified, it will be the responsibility of the client to appoint a responsible person on site to ensure all recommendations are adhered to.
Many of our clients use substances or equipment that creates flammable substances and so all the risks will be highlighted in the report as well as who would be affected. Please take this into consideration and inform your employees of these risks and take the correct procedures to prevent a fire from happening.
